Strengthen is the feature used to level up your monsters. Units and gold are required to strengthen a monster. Strengthening cannot fail, and it doesn't have randomized boosts to Exp gained like in other games.
Eyeballs (Pink and normal) are fusion units, and thus cannot level up. Use them to strengthen your other monsters for huge amounts of Exp!
Leveling up
Strengthen is the only way (Aside from battles) to level up your monsters. When leveling up a monster using strengthen, you have to use other monsters as materials, and gold is used as "payment."
Monsters range from 1-6 stars depending on their relative strength (higher number of stars = a stronger monster). Different star levels also affect how much Exp you'll get when you "Strengthen" other monsters with the card, and how much you can sell it for.
- When being strengthened, each material monster costs 120 Gold + 20 Gold per additional level. So while it might seem advantageous to use 10 different cards on 10 different material monsters, note that the next time you level up the monster it will cost more per material monster. Higher level monsters are better off using monsters that are already at reasonably high levels.
